Recommended Use

Patients should brush at teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day. Patients 2-6 should be instructed in good brushing and rinsing habits to minimize swallowing. Supervise children under 6 years as necessary and use a pea-sized amount until the child is capable of using without supervision.

Mode of Action

ACT® Kids Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste is a non-acidic, pH-balanced toothpaste that works along with the patient’s saliva in the remineralization process. Because the caries process produces acid and lowers intraoral pH, consistent use of a neutral sodium fluoride helps the remineralization process and rebuilds weakened enamel. ACT® Kids Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste can help prevent demineralization, promote remineralization and ultimately serve as an effective defense against caries.2

Fluoride works together with calcium and phosphate in saliva to prevent dental caries.
